After earning his keep serving his country as a United States Marine, he found his way to GE Medical, and where other employees took lunch breaks, David spent time with the engineers troubleshooting and streamlining manufacturing processes. His talent didnt go unnoticed, and he worked his way up quickly - when an opportunity to work for NASA at Cape Canaveral arose, he moved his family to Florida and designed components for the space program. Wisconsin was always in his heart, though, and soon the family returned to the Milwaukee area where David resumed his work at GE. During that time, he did pioneering work on the very first MRI machines, as well as directing surgeons on the use of the first GE pacemaker. His work helped diagnose and safe countless lives, and hearts around the world continue to beat due to his immense talent and devotion to his craft.
