After 13 months of fighting Cholangiocarcinoma, Dave passed away at home surrounded by his family and 2 dogs on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of 34 years to Colleen (nee Cary) Treichel. Loving dad of Erin (Brian) Eliszewski, Maura Treichel, and Kera Treichel. Proud Opa of Liam Eliszewski. Caring son of Bev and the late Clyde Treichel. Brother of Sharon (the late Terry) Wolf, Debbie (Doug) Meyer, Terry Ann Kaphingst and the late Susan Severson. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Dave was a life-long carpenter and owned and operated X-Act General Contractors for 25 years until he retired in 2023. He was a proud member of the Big Bend Volunteer Fire Department and served as Village trustee for 10 years. Dave had an infectious sense of humor that brightened the day of everyone around him. He loved motorcycles and spent many years collecting and restoring countless motorcycles. One of his more recent hobbies became roasting his own coffee beans which he took great pleasure in donating and gifting to friends and several charitable groups. Dave and his family are longtime members at Hales Corners Lutheran Church. Spending time outdoors, camping, fishing and relaxing on his porch were great pleasures for Dave.

Visitation Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10AM - 12 Noon at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners Memorial Service at 12 Noon.
