Obituary

Daniel B. Connerton

"Danny"

Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of 46 years to his teenage sweetheart Pamela (nee Plude).  Loving father of his favorite oldest daughter Katherine Patricia Connerton (Benjamin Riggs), and his favorite youngest daughter Carole Beth (Matthew) Sherwood. Adored Grandpa of Madelyn and Theo Sherwood. Cherished brother of Tom (Mary) Connerton, Patrick (Louise) Connerton, the late Mark Connerton, Mary (William) Gabrich, the late John (Melissa) Connerton and Kurt (Dawn) Connerton. Danny is also preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Patricia Connerton. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Danny was born and raised in Milwaukee and attended Washington High School. At the age of 15, Danny met the love of his life while volunteering at the Muscular Dystrophy Association camp in Illinois. They wed in 1978 at St. James Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls. Dan and Pam raised their beautiful daughters in Bay View. Danny's working career included Sally's Steakhouse in the Knickerbocker Hotel. He later moved to the printing industry, having worked at Cuneo Press and Quad Graphics. He retired in 2010 from the Internal Revenue Service where he worked as a Forms Clerk.

In his youth, Danny was an avid bicyclist and frequently rode from Milwaukee to Sussex to visit Pam while they were dating. He developed a love for traveling, photography, camping and cooking. Danny was a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. After retirement, Dan was frequently seen enjoying breakfast, socializing with the regulars and reading the newspaper at the Copper Kitchen.

Danny will foremost be remembered as a family man with a quirky sense of humor. He especially loved spending time with his grandbabies, the joy of his life. Danny's sense of humor will long be remembered, he jokingly insisted his nieces and nephews call him "Auntie Dan".

The family is deeply grateful to the caregivers and staff of Aurora Advanced Care at Home, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their tender care and compassionate support.

Visitation at the Funeral Home Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Eulogy Service at 7 PM, Visitation also Monday 10-11 AM. Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
