Colleen M. Koszyczarek
(nee McHugh) Was Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Age 96 years. Colleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Leonard, son Peter Koszyczarek and daughter Susan Wolff. Loving mom of Anne (Tom) Carloni, Mary Pezze, and Jeanne Koszyczarek. Dear mother-in-law of Karen Koszyczarek. Cherished "Grandma Kozy" of Justin Carloni; Tony (Steve) Koszyczarek, Andrea (Justin) LaFrania, Peter Jr. (Kelly) Koszyczarek; Nicole (Paul) Zavala, Derek (Kristine) Pezze; Whitney (Ian) Dahlgren and Gabe Pilo. Dear great-grandma of Vincent, Peyton, Emma, Carter, Emilio, Madilyn, Zachary, Bryn, Jamison, Theo, Harper and Gavin. Dear sister-in-law of Judie McHugh. Colleen is also preceded in death by her brother William (the late Marie) McHugh and Patrick McHugh. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Colleen was born and raised in Bay View. She attended grade school at St. Augustine and was a 1947 graduate of St. John's Cathedral High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, her late husband Leonard "Kozy". After High School Colleen began her working career at Luetzow Laundry where she worked as a bookkeeper. She went on and continued her career Retriever Field Trial News. Throughout her life Colleen enjoyed bowling, golfing, tennis and gardening. Colleen was especially proud to be the neighborhood champion in jacks, marbles and paddleball. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Since childhood she played the violin and was a member for more than 50 years of the Milwaukee Catholic Symphony Orchestra. Colleen along with Leonard was a member of the Humboldt Park 4th of July Association for more than 30 years. She was also a lifelong and very active member of St. Augustine Parish in Bay View.
Colleen will be remembered for her love and respect of her Irish Heritage. The Annual St. Patrick Day family gatherings that she hosted for many years will continue for years to come. Her family would like to thank her caregivers Donna, Megan, Morgan, Logan, Jenny, Felicity and Angie and the staff of Aurora at Home Hospice.
Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 9 - 10:30 AM. Funeral 10:30 AM from the funeral home to The Church of St. Augustine of Hippo for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
