Dahlke, Clement J. Clement J. Dahlke, age 84, received his angel wings on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, passing away at his home from natural causes. Clement was born on a farm in Edgar, WI to the late Margaret and Bruno Dahlke. He is the loving husband to Patricia (nee Narloch) Dahlke for 56 years. Beloved father of Lisa (Gerald) Bougie, Christopher Dahlke, and Carolyn (Christopher) Megal. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Anna, Kenneth, Ashley, Hank and Christopher. Dear brother of Elaine Brodjeski, Kenneth (Diane) Dahlke, Joseph Dahlke and Judith Totzke. Dear brother-in-law of Collette Rosenthal. Preceded in death by his siblings Raymond Dahlke, Marie (Edward) Krebsbach, and Robert Dahlke, brothers-in-law Roland Totzke and Alex Brodjeski. Further survived by Godson Greg Brodjeski, other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Clement will be remembered for his dedication to his family, love of aviation and passion for teaching. Clem's passion in aviation began in the Army and then he was transferred to the Air Force. His job was operation manager of the Moby Desert Airport. Later, he was reassigned to advanced training and learned his skills as an aircraft pilot and exceptional mechanic. He was well renowned for his skills in aircraft maintenance well into old age. He worked for Kearney & Trecker as their chief pilot until his retirement. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol as a flight instructor and oversaw aircraft maintenance. He received two FAA awards for aviation excellence. The first was the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award in 2011. In 2013, he received the FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for maintaining safe operations for more than 50 years. His lifetime of flying spanned 59 years which he was very proud. He was also an active member in the Oak Creek Lions Club where he volunteered many hours organizing their Red Cross blood drives, auto show, and the Lions annual Labor Day Festival. Clem loved to be involved with his grandchildren. He travelled both short and long distances to participate in their sporting activities, piano recitals and concerts, and choir performances. In addition he was an avid sports fan for the Green Bay Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Oak Creek and Edgar High School football teams.
Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Prayer Vigil at 7:00 PM. Additional visitation Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH 7219 S. 27th Street. Franklin. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment and Military Honors to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the US Civil Air Patrol located in Milwaukee, or the Veterans Honor Flight Program are appreciated.
