Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the age of 61. Loving son of Barbara (the late Thomas) Napierala and treasured family friend James Marenda. Cherished brother Claire (the late Randy) Lederhaus, Liz Phillips (Jon Peterson), Angela Napierala (Chris Luck) and Rachel Napierala. Dear nephew of Marge Przybla. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Randy Lederhaus and Alan Phillips.
Chris graduated from UW-Stout, Menomonie, Wisconsin in 1982. He served as an Industrial Arts teacher for the Milwaukee Public School System for 33 years. He also obtained a Special Education Certificate to assist students with special needs. Christopher was a park attendant since high school at several of the Milwaukee County Parks seasonally. He worked his summers off school in the parks as he enjoyed being outside. Some of Christopher's hobbies included collecting beer steins from all over the world, trains, sports cards and he was an avid bowler. Chris was also a member of the Milwaukee Teacher's Education Association (MTEA). Chris was awarded the Technology Educator Of The Year award in 2004.
Christopher once said, "Even those pupils who prefer office work to woodwork can benefit from my class.... Students need to be exposed to this because they'll be future homeowners."
Visitation at the Funeral Home THURSDAY, December 2, 2021 from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM. A procession from the Funeral Home at 10:30 AM to THE BASILICA OF SAINT JOSAPHAT CHURCH for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery. Christopher loved his employment at the Milwaukee County Parks. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Milwaukee Parks Foundation (www.mkeparksfoundation.org/donate) is appreciated.
