Christine Stagge found peace on May 28, 2026, surrounded by the people she loved most and who loved her deeply in return.

She is reunited with her parents, Don and Joan; her younger brother Jim; her nephew Andy; and her beloved granddog, Alice. She is dearly missed by her children, Mike and Sarah, her siblings Cheryl (Jeff), Jack and Don, her nephew Dan (Jenny) and her niece Tina (Drew and McKayla), and many other cherished family members.

Chris was the most wonderful mom. She loved Mike and Sarah with her whole heart and showed it every day. She was always thoughtful, making a special treat or writing a letter to cheer you up when you were having a hard time. She treasured her daily drives through the park with Mike looking for deer and wholeheartedly encouraged him when he cheated at mini-golf. Mike was her shining star. She always wanted the world to see him just as she did. Chris shared a special bond with Sarah and treasured every conversation, laugh, and memory they created together. Her love also extended to her granddogs, for whom she made barkuterie boards and gave daily treats while announcing "Grandma tax!"

Chris treasured her friendships. Her closest friends - Jan, Janine, Lori, Mary-Beth, Debbie, and Ali - filled her life with laughter, conversation, and countless memories. Whether meeting at Cooper's Hawk for wine nights, sharing pizza, spending weekends at a cabin with sangria, or simply talking for hours, she cherished every moment with her friends. One of her favorite pastimes was attending concerts with friends, especially when it meant supporting the son of one of those dear friends, who became one of her favorite musicians.

Chris enjoyed an iced chai latte and going for walks in the park, where she was quite popular with the other park walking locals. She enjoyed cooking, especially for the ones she loved. Everyone close to her had a favorite dish she loved to make for them. She was so pleased when she could do that for someone. She enjoyed many wonderful trips to Door County, and Peninsula State Park was her favorite place to sit and watch the water. Her favorite show was Ted Lasso, which she rewatched countless times. While she had a crush on Jason Sudeikis, it was the show's message of hope, kindness, and believing that kept bringing her back.

Chris's compassion extended far beyond her family and friends. She worked for the Autism Society and spent the last 18 years at WI FACETS. Quietly and tirelessly, she served families of children with special needs throughout Wisconsin while also supporting parent centers across a 16-state region. Her work reflected who she was - a person dedicated to helping others and making the world a little better every day.

Chris will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love, and ability to make everyone around her feel special.

To honor Chris, remember to believe in Believe, make yourself some popcorn, and be a goldfish.

Visitation will take place at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home-South Suburban Chapel-on Saturday, June 6, from 1-4 PM Funeral Service at 4 PM.
