Born to eternal life on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, age 82 years. Beloved husband for 58 years of Elaine (nee Stumpf). Best dad of Kathleen (Ludwig) Vesel, Jeffrey (Mary) Turner, Patricia Priest, James (Leigh) Turner, Kenneth (Jane) Turner and Jayne (Tom Frank) Turner. Chet was a very proud grandpa and great-grandpa. Loving brother of Shirley (the late John) Ropel, Alice (Arthur) Handel, Marilyn (Robert) Mitzlaff, the late Ellen and the late Richard Turner. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Chet was a retiree of the Milwaukee Public Schools after over 34 years of service and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. A heartfelt thank you to Drs. David Kaiser and Richard Davito and the nursing staff at St. Luke's South Shore who helped care for Chet during his final hours. Visitation on Monday, April 25, 2011, 3:00-6:00 P.M. at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1720 E. Norwich St. Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM. Private interment and military honors at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
