(nee Merkel) Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home to be with the Lord on the evening of June 17th, 2019. Cheryl was 68years old. Cheryl was born in the town of Milwaukee, WI on August 11th, 1950. Cheryl was a loving wife to Michael and mother to Jena and Colin. Cheryl was one of four children and beloved daughter to parents Alfred and Adeline Merkel. Growing up she enjoyed the outdoors, reading, learning, and being active. She graduated from UWM as a medical technologist, and worked for the VA hospital for 40 years. She was married for 45 years to her husband/best friend and loving mother to her two children for 32 years. Her life was dedicated to being there for her family in every way possible. She was the most intelligent, hardworking, caring, and loving individual. She cared deeply for everyone around her. Cheryl loved to take walks at the botanical gardens near her home, golf, read novels, play card games, and enjoyed the little things in life. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
