Cheryl "Sherry" Rose Schwab,
71 passed away January 3, 2026 in South Milwaukee Wisconsin, after a lengthy illness. Sherry was born December 31, 1954 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Joseph and Imogene (Schwahn) Schwab, as the 5th of 10 children and the first daughter in the family. Sherry grew up on the Schwab farm north east of Strasburg. She attended St. Benedicts Catholic School and Strasburg Public School where she graduated in 1973.

Sherry moved to Milwaukee following her graduation and was employed at Briggs and Stratton for 30 years. She enjoyed life in Milwaukee with siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins and always referred to them as her Milwaukee family. Sherry will be remembered as quiet, kind, and loving, and she never forgot birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Dennis Schwab and Daniel Schwab. She is survived by her brothers Duane (Sharon), Daryl (Shirley), John, Joseph (Angela), and sisters Mary Jo (Mario) Stanislao, Lanette (Dave) Wald and Charlene (Dave) Durski, along with her sister-in-law Kris (Daniel) Schwab, 24 nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Willowcrest Care Center for the care given to Sherry while she lived there, and to St. Croix Hospice for the comfort and peace they provided in her final days.

Memorial visitation on Friday, January 16, 2026, 9:30 am-11:00 am at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, 4001 S. Whitnall Avenue, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery following mass.
