Gary's family is deeply grateful to the anonymous donor family that decided to donate their loved one's lungs to Gary on July 10, 2006. Because of them, we were able to have an extra 7 years, 7 months and 11 days with him. And to Drs. Gronski, Downey and Savitt, the other doctors, nurses and staff of the Transplant Clinic and Pulmonary Medicine at St. Luke's Medical Center, who made the double lung transplant possible, Thank You!
Three weeks ago, we found out that Gary had developed Lymphoma. The doctors, nurses and staff of the 8th floor MRICU and the other units he was on, also deserve a heartfelt thank you for all of the loving care and support you gave Gary and his family at this most difficult time.
