Charlene Bindas (nee Schaller), loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at her home after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the age of 82. Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack, her parents Norbert and Hildegard (nee Metzger) Schaller and her two brothers, Ivan (LaVerne) Schaller and Ralph (Marian) Schaller, and three sisters; Leah (Bob) Geringer, Betty (Arden) Lindberg, Dolores (Melvin) Nissen. She is survived by her children Leann (Pat) Fischer of Slinger, and Steve (Amy) Bindas of Green Bay as well as her grandchildren Rachel (Danny) Wimmer, Emily Fischer, Evan Bindas (Hannah Mikolas), Jordan Bindas and her great-granddaughter Madelynn Wimmer. She is also survived by many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charlene was loved and respected by all that knew her for her listening ear, her sage wisdom, and her tender heart. She enjoyed serving her church, where she was a member for 72 years and playing cards, but her true passion was her family. She endured any kind of weather for football, baseball, and soccer games and traveled countless miles to watch volleyball. Cherished memories were created on the annual trip to Holiday Acres in Rhinelander, WI as well as during holiday gatherings and any regular occasion that became special because grandma was there. Not only did she leave each family member with the knowledge of the importance of family, but a deep faith and a teapot from her precious collection as well.
