Carole A. Hoover

(nee Albrecht) Passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, aged 83 years. Loving wife of 47 years to the late Thomas Hoover. Beloved sister of Bonnie (Joanne Nelson) Albrecht and John Albrecht. Cherished aunt of Tracy, Lydia, and Ben Albrecht. Further survived by many friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Donna and brother, David.

Carole graduated from the Milwaukee County School of Nursing in 1966 and worked at Milwaukee County Hospital until 1995 within various positions. One of the most notable roles she served in was Director of Nursing for Critical Care. Carole helped lead the way in guiding the transition of outpatient services from a county operated model to one in which the Medical College of Wisconsin became the provider. She was the director of nursing at Franciscan Villa in South Milwaukee. After Carole's retirement, she became heavily involved in Rey of Hope Rescue, an animal rescue operation based in Milwaukee. Before her passing, the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard performed a much deserved Nightingale Tribute at her bedside, commemorating her service as a Registered Nurse. She will be deeply missed.
