(nee Manteufel) Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the age of 78 with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband Eugene Thiermann; her children, Scott (Debbie) Thiermann, Tyrone Thiermann, Kim Thiermann, Todd (Barb) Thiermann, Jodi (Ken Baginski) Wire, and Joan Gilson; her grandchildren Shane (DaCarla Wilson) Thiermann, Lisa Beekman, Carrie (Rob "Oz" Osborne) Thiermann, Amanda (Tommy Pearce) Flores, Josh Thiermann, Jake (Tessa) Thiermann, Alex (Philip) Coss, and Sophia Gilson; her great-grandchildren, Emily, Lexi, Max, Atlas and Brinley. Preceded in death by her grandson Jack Scott Gilson. Carol loved people and conversation. People were drawn to her positive energy and spirit and she made friends wherever she went. Carol loved to garden and maintained an impeccable home and yard. We pray Heaven is filled with beautiful flowers, ripe tomatoes fresh from the vine, and not a speck of dust because Carol would find it. Carol would want all who loved her to continue to "rise and shine" each morning and find joy in life. Carol spent her final days in hospice care surrounded by those who loved her dearly. We believe she stayed with us long enough to know the ending of her favorite series, Poldark, enjoy Hallmark movies (Carol loved a happy ending), and watch just one more episode of Dancing with the Stars. Thank you for the great care, comfort and support from doctors, nurses and staff at Froedtert's Oncology Department, Center for Advanced Care and inpatient Horizon Hospice. A team effort indeed, yet the star player grew tired. Carol left all who loved her with the gift of knowing she was ready to go. Goodbye for now. We love you.
