Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Of Franklin, WI, entered Eternal Life on August 7, 2026 at the age of 60 after a tough battle with multiple illnesses. Beloved son of Sandra (the late Wayne) Grandaw. Cherished brother to Lee Ann (Steve) Gomon. Proud uncle of Timothy Gomon, Katilyn (Austin) Dalzin, and Andrew Gomon. Preceded in death by his grandparents Albert and Edna Miller, Joseph, Delores, and Mary June Grandaw, and his best friend and partner Jennifer Johnson.

Will be remembered for his free spirit, intelligence, humor, willingness to help others, and always encouraging other to strive for achievement. Loved photography and seeking out unique experiences. Will never be forgotten by his niece and nephews who he took great pride in and loved as if his own children, and shared in all their special milestones. They could always depend on Uncle Brian.

Had so many plans and dreams with Jennifer which were cut short for both of them. The time they had was spent with travel, festivals, Packers, Brewers, and Milkmen games, restaurants, and trivia. She made Brian so happy and he considered her the love of his life.

Grew up in Marinette, WI where he graduated in 1984 from Marinette Catholic Central. Next he attended UW Marinette, later transferring to UW Milwaukee where he earned his double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Still having a thirst for knowledge he received his Master in Business Administration from Marquette University in 2003. Continually became certified in as many areas as possible.

After college, Brian was employed at Inpro Corporation for 34 years. Worked as an IT Manager for most of his career when he sadly had to retire due to health issues. Was instrumental in building the IT department and was so proud of that accomplishment. Was a loyal employee and loved working there and the special relationships he built throughout the years.

Visitation Friday, August 14, 2026 from 10AM to 12PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service to follow, at 12PM. A private burial service will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette, WI.

Brian's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their compassionate care.

Memorials, if so desired, may be made to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
