Brennan Peter DeLap, the beloved son of Bonnie and Russell DeLap passed away on July 16, 2021. Brennan was born in Milwaukee on January 21, 1994. Brennan is survived by his sisters Caitlin DeLap and Marissa DeLap, Brother Christopher DeLap, Grandparents James and Susan Bomm, great aunt Corrine Grapatin (Stelske), aunt and uncles Laurie and Olivio Pozo, Pam Jenks, Chuck and Joan Nichcols, and Jeffrey and Susan DeLap, many cousins and his niece Luna Rose. Brennan also leaves behind his soul mate Nicole Kopish and dog Pretty. Brennan was a nature lover and was most proud of being an arborist. His friends describe Brennan as expert in Wisconsin native plant recognition and consummate teacher sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for horticulture to those around him. After high school, Brennan's love for sustainability and organic lifestyle was nurtured as a volunteer in Germany at World Organization of Organic Farmers. Brennan capitalized on nature's bounty by foraging for mushrooms, making mead, and drying and pressed wild flowers. Brennan loved backpacking, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, climbing trees, adventures with friends, long boarding and being outside in nature. Brennan was a fiercely independent, adventurous and just a very smart young man. Brennan had started his own professional tree/plant Service with business partner and best friend Luke Labonte and found joy in his hard work. Brennan loved Wisconsin native plants and flowers. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, please plant a white oak tree or wild flowers. Memorial service will be held August 8th at a private residence 2648 E. Newton Avenue, Shorewood, WI 53211 from 1:00 - 4:00. At 1:30 there will be a short service with Parents thoughts as well as friends can speak at this time.
