Born and raised in Milwaukee, Betty graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951, where she proudly lettered in tennis. She was the last of the Lavine siblings, preceded in death by her five sisters and two brothers.
Betty lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and hospitality. She and her beloved husband, Kenny, shared many happy years together, often bowling as a team and dancing on Saturday nights. Known as the ultimate hostess, Betty delighted in throwing her annual 4th of July and Christmas parties-events where everyone felt welcome. She had a gift for making others feel special, whether it was through her cooking, her warm smile, or the beautiful cakes she decorated for every occasion.
Her passions included reading, baking, and being an active member of the Red Hat Society. Always up for a new challenge, Betty earned her driver's license at the age of 50. She worked as a waitress at the Milwaukee Club and later for US Bank, where she brought kindness and dedication to her work.
Above all, Betty's greatest joy came from her family, who brought her endless pride and happiness. She loved nothing more than spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, and filling her home with laughter.
Betty's legacy is one of love, generosity, and a life well-lived. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
