Betty worked for over 10 years as a bingo inspector for the State of Wisconsin. She was a long time member of her church and was a member of the executive board of the Social Development Commission. Betty and her late husband, George Sr. were community advocates in their near south side neighborhood and were instrumental in the construction of South Division High School in the late 1970's.
