Obituary

Betty Jean Wineinger

May 10, 1932 - November 14, 2023

Betty Jean Wineinger, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully left this world to be with her beloved husband Owen on November 14, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on May 10, 1932, in Cresco, Iowa, Betty was the daughter of Gustav and Adeline Dienert. She spent her life spreading love and warmth to all those around her.

Betty was a caring and dedicated homemaker, filling her home with love and laughter. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was deeply loved by her children: Chris (Nancy), Gail (Jim) Rebernick, Tony (Sue), and Julie (Bob) Thiel. Betty was a source of inspiration and strength for her grandchildren: Peter, Richard (Dawn), Danielle Wineinger, Ryan (Hannah Bell), and Nolan Rebernick, Abbey Purdy (fiancé Kody VanHorn), Lauren (Justin) Redman, Emily (Jake) Earle, Jake (Mandi), and Amanda Thiel (Kody Wojtalewicz). Her loving spirit as "GiGi" will continue to shine through her cherished great-grandson, Charlie Thiel. Betty is also survived by her dear brother, Lloyd (Mary Jane) Dienert. Further survived by other family members and friends.

Betty's life was one of kindness and grace. She possessed a compassionate heart and a contagious optimism that brought joy to all those she encountered. Born and raised in Cresco, Iowa, she moved to Cudahy, Wisconsin at the age of 17. Betty graduated as the salutatorian of her class at Cudahy High School.

It was at the USO in Milwaukee that Betty's path crossed with her beloved husband, Owen, while he was serving in the US Navy. Together, they built a beautiful life and a strong family founded on the values of love, compassion, and dedication.

Throughout her life, Betty's kindness knew no bounds. She selflessly worked various jobs to help provide for her family, all while nurturing her children and ensuring a loving home for all. Her charitable nature extended beyond her family, as she dedicated her time to volunteering at the Unity Evangelical Lutheran Church Senior Center. Betty was an active member of the Kelly Senior Center Travel Club and the Red Hat Society, forging deep friendships and creating lasting memories.

Betty Jean Wineinger's legacy of love, compassion, and radiant positivity will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace in the arms of her beloved husband, looking over her family with love and pride.
