Betty Jane Guerin

(nee Tomchalek) Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Age 97 years. Beloved wife for 66 years of the late Donald. Loving mom of the late Candy (the late Jim) Lidwin and Cindy (Tim) Gear. Cherished grandma of Chris Lidwin (Sarah Reynolds), Craig (Courtney) Lidwin and Jimmy (Angie) Lidwin and Brad Gear. Dear great-grandma of Isabella, Kira, Kendall, Samuel and Grace. Adored aunt of Kim Heim, Barbara Poja and Sherry Walters. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 9-11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Betty was born and raised in Milwaukee. She worked for 21 years as a secretary for the Milwaukee Public School System at Walker Middle School. Throughout her life Betty enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading, bird watching and sharing her famous "Nannie Dip". For 50 years Betty and Donald were an active part of "club". Members included the Casper's, the Wisniewski's, the Hranicka's, the Galante's, the Norgal's and the Kaminski's.

What was most important to Betty was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished every one of the 66 years she was married to "Her Donny" and loved being a mom. The light of Betty's life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always did her best to attend their sporting events and activities. She never forgot a birthday, and always sent a card. If you ever received a hug coupon, consider yourself special to Betty. Betty's family would like to thank the caregivers and staffs of Brenwood Park Assisted Living Community and the nurses of Preceptor Home Health and Hospice for their tender care and support.
