Bett Jean Bauer, a vibrant and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Newberry, Michigan, Bette brought joy and light to everyone she encountered. She is survived by her devoted husband, Garry Bauer, and her loving daughters, Cari (John) Tralongo, Chelle (Dan) Pavletich, and Cassie (Eric) Vassar. A proud Nana to Taylor Robertson; Jacob, Kaitlin, and Elizabeth Pavletich; James (the late Sabrina) Radford; Christina Guirau; and Sophia (partner-Hunter Whitaker) Gomez, Bette cherished her role as matriarch of the family. She is also the Great-Nana of Iysis, Eliana, and Bella, and a caring step-mother to Chad (Stephanie) Bauer and Lauren Bauer, as well as a treasured step-grandmother to Aria, Hailey, Adam Bauer and Ray Hernandez Jr.

Bett's infectious laugh and larger-than-life personality touched the hearts of so many. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a salesperson in the title company industry and proudly represented Mary Kay, sharing beauty and confidence with those around her. Bette was a valued member of the Fellowship of Extraordinary Women Group (FEW), where she uplifted others with her vibrant spirit. With a passion for cooking and baking, she created many delicious memories for her family and friends.

Visitation at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, South Suburban Chapel, located at 6080 S. 27th Street, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
