Born into Eternal Life on December 26, 2011 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Edward. Loving mother of Shari (the late George) Mellema, Ken (Kathy) and Robert (Judy). Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy Laabs. Bernice is preceded in death by her siblings Alvina, Patricia, Lucille, Arline, Ralph, and granddaughter Karie Mellema. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Bernice enjoyed time with her family, playing sheepshead, and bowling. Bernice's family wishes to thank the staff of the Francis House, especially the caretakers and nurses, for the loving care given to Bernice. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Friday December 30, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services at 7:00 PM. Private interment. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
