Welcomed by the heavens on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of 43 years to Kathy (nee Narloch). Loving father of Barry James Jr., Kellie (Mike) Hernandez, Amy and Brian (Jaime) Steinhoff, and gifted daughter Malisha Yang. Devoted grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 5. Caring brother of 11. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Steinhoff and Ed Mahalzcyk. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Barry was an avid outdoorsman who loved sports, especially the Packers. He celebrated 27 years of sobriety and was the owner and operator of Floor Doctor for 26 years. He will be remembered as an amazing provider, a generous and dedicated man who was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. Visitation SATURDAY, July 6, 2019 at St. Matthias Church, 9306 W. Beloit Rd from 10-11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment at Good Hope Cemetery to follow.
