Barbara Carol White, age 79, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026. Born in Queens, New York City, Barbara lived a life marked by love and service. She was the devoted wife of Christopher White for 53 wonderful years. Barbara will be remembered fondly by her loving husband, along with her dear friends.

A dedicated professional, Barbara spent her career as an executive secretary, first at Jewish Family Services on Prospect Avenue and then at Independence First on South 1st Street, where she ultimately retired. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her love for reading, a passion she pursued voraciously only to be surpassed by her love for her cats.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial visitation at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, Bay View Chapel on Saturday, June 13, 2026, 10 AM to 12 noon, followed by a Time of Sharing at 12 Noon, please consider sharing a favorite story with everyone.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society-Milwaukee in Barbara's memory.
