Miller
December 6, 1941 – March 28, 2025
Barbara Lee Miller (nee Wangemann)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 28, 2025 at age 83 years old. Beloved wife of Robert Miller, married for 61 years. Loving mother of Christopher (Janice) Miller, Laurie (Steve) Buttitta, and Cindy Izydor. Cherished grandmother of Christina, Brent, Michelle, Nicole (Conner), Courtney, Stephanie (Robert), Annie, and Daniel. Dear great-grandmother of Robert, Audrey, and Olivia. She is further survived by her brother William Wangemann, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arno and Lydia Wangemann, her brother James Wangemann, her sister Margaret Matzdorf, and many beloved pets.
Barbara was a self-taught artist with a passion for painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, and decorating around the house for every season and holiday, with the house seemingly changing every few weeks. A lot of Barbara's crafts were sold at craft shows all over the Southern Wisconsin area. She loved to follow Wisconsin sports with the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks. She enjoyed watching sports outside the Wisconsin teams for the pure excitement of it all. Barbara generously spent a lot of time crocheting hats and scarves for people in need, including Vieau School, Mitchell Street School, and children encountered by the Milwaukee Police Department. She was heavily involved at St. Paul's Catholic Church, volunteering as an altar server for both Funeral Masses and weekend Masses. Barbara loved her pets so much she would make them gifts and hold birthday parties for them. Her furry friends' names were Patches, Trixie, and Molly. They were all rescued and she made a loving home for them.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral Service starting at 12:00 Noon. Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery to follow. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the special and loving care provided to Barbara from the staff at Villa St. Francis and St. Croix Hospice.
