Austin Richard Soppa, lovingly known to so many as "DJ Soppa," lived life with an energy, warmth, and love for people that was impossible to miss. Born on October 2, 1992, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Austin's life came to a heartbreaking and premature end on September 6, 2026, at the age of 33, following a tragic accidental drowning.

Austin was so much more than a DJ. He was a son, a little brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a fiercely loyal friend to so many. He is remembered by his beloved sister, Megan (Bryan) Chmielewski, and his niece and nephew, Penelope and Leo, who were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Debra Czubakowski, and his father, Daniel Soppa, along with his cherished grandparents, Ken and Shirley Czubakowski. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and an incredible number of friends who became family along the way.

A proud 2011 graduate of West Allis Central High School, Austin found his place in the hospitality and entertainment industry and eventually behind the turntables. Music became one of the greatest passions of his life. His career as DJ Soppa took him from Milwaukee to Cincinnati, Tampa, Chicago, Miami, Scottsdale, and most recently Nashville, where he continued chasing bigger dreams.

But the music was only part of what made Austin who he was. He had a way of making people feel welcome, making them laugh, and reminding them that they mattered. He was loyal, resilient, loving, positive, and, as his friends would say, a true DAWG. Austin also had a deep love for all animals, with an especially soft spot for Luna and Nala. Whether it was a thumbs-up from across the room or a heartfelt "I love you, man," Austin never shied away from letting the people in his life know how much he loved them.

Austin adored his niece and nephew and treasured the special bond they shared. Being their uncle was one of the greatest joys of his life. He also dreamed of finding lasting love, becoming a husband and father, and building a family of his own-a future that reflected the tenderness, loyalty, and generosity that defined him.

In the final months of his life, Austin found a new passion for inspiring others through his "30 Days of Soppa" videos, sharing messages of positivity and encouragement with anyone who needed a little morning boost. The response inspired him to continue pursuing this new path and showed just how far his words and encouragement could reach.

Even in his final moments, Austin continued giving to others. Through the gift of organ donation, his heart, liver, and both kidneys were donated, saving four lives. It was a final act of giving from someone whose life had already touched more people than he ever could have known.

Austin's life was far too short, and there will never be an answer that makes his loss feel fair. But the impact he made is undeniable. It lives in his family, his friendships, his music, his videos, the stories people will continue telling, and now in the four lives that continue because of him.

Austin ended each of his "30 Days of Soppa" videos with the same simple words. It only feels right that we let him have the last word here, too.

Family and friends will gather to remember, celebrate and say goodbye for now to Austin on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Venue 3 located at 627 N 2nd St, Milwaukee, WI. There will be visitation from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 3:00 P.M. After the service the celebration will continue.
