IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aura Violeta
Paz
June 14, 1930 – February 13, 2025
Our Mother, Aura Violeta Paz was born in San Antonio, Suchitepequez, Guatemala, Central America, on June 14, 1930. Being the first of ten children, her parents, Jacinto Cabrera and Francisca Padilla passed their faith on to her as a Seventh Day Adventist from birth to the day of her death.
When her Mother passed away at the age of 38, Violeta took care of her little brothers and sisters, while rising her own. She was married to David Paz, with whom she had nine children: Emma Santiago (George), Ana Nuhlicek (Allan+), Daniel Paz+, Israel Paz+ (Sandra), David Paz (Gloria), Noemi Monzon (Manuel), Amarilis Cornejo (Luis), Ivan Paz (Diana), Telma Morales (Jacobo). She was blessed with twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
She was a fashion designer, but most of her life was a dedicated house maker. The foremost goal of her life was to guide her children in the light of the Gospel and with much love, wisdom, joy, peace, patience, enthusiasm and her own example showed them the real character of God. She also taught them to appreciate the value of time, and as a consequence, she was crowned with a family of professionals that serve the Lord in many fields.
She was very social and had a very positive attitude, always ready to serve others and sharing the love of God to them. She was also assertive, always looking for improvement, very kind, without loosing her charming smile.
Her delight was playing piano, guitar, accordion and singing, specifically gospel and folklore music. She enjoyed nature, sewing, and reading. She excelled as a missionary because she loved the Lord with all her heart.
We will miss our dear Mother, but we hope to see her again when the Lord comes, when He will take his people to live eternally in heaven, where there will be no more night, no more sorrow and no more tears. Rest in peace, beloved Mom.
