Passed away at home, Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Grace (Zimdars) Scholtz. Loving father of Elizabeth (Eric) Hauser, James (Joan) Kursch and Diane (David) Voglund. Dear brother of Eleanore (the late Alvin) Grosskopf. Loving grandfather of Deborah, Paul and Charles Hauser; Megan (Brent) Borland; Andrew and Joseph Kursch. Preceded in death by his wives Lydia (Hienz) and Daisy (Estes) Tucker; daughter Margaret Hartman; granddaughter Denise Voglund ; sisters Lydia (Martin) Dierker and Dorothy Kursch. Also survived by step-children Ellen, Jeff (Brenda) and Keith (Debbie) Tucker, 9 step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Art was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 19, 1918. He grew up with his sisters in the home of his parents Edward and Adele (Syperko) Kursch and enjoyed his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He attended grade school at Grace Ev. Lutheran School followed by graduation from Bay View High School and the University of Wisconsin. He moved to Hobart, Indiana, raised his family and retired from U.S. Steel after 40 years. Following Lydia's death, he moved back to Milwaukee and married Daisy. After her death, his life was renewed by his marriage to Grace. Throughout his life he enjoyed music and singing.
