Surrounded by those who loved him most, Tony, age 87 years was joyfully reunited with the love of his life, Genevieve (nee Wachniak) on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Dear father of Roseann (Daniel) Lewandowski, Diane (Richard) Wawrzyniak, Tom (Jaci) and Tony Farina. Proud grandpa of Sara (Brian) Brown, Jason Wawrzyniak, Danielle (Tim) Hogan, Matthew (Cynde) Lewandowski and Nicole Lewandowski, the late Callahan Farina, Brienne (Daniel) Williams, Vincent (Karin) Farina, Lindsay (James) Merlin and Frank (Megan) Farina and Tiana Farina. Adored great-grandpa of 13 . Further survived by his sisters Dorothy Zareczny, Nicolette (Ronald) DeDiemar, sister-in-law, Bernice Luedtke and brother-in-law Jerry (Ginger) Wachniak and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Tony proudly served in the United States navy aboard the USS Rochester, was a member and past commander of John D'Amore VFW Post #2804, past-president of the Holy Crucifix Society and a member of the Italian Community Center.
Thanks are not enough for the love and care Dad was given at Pine Haven, he was treated with kindness and compassion and love always. Our gratitude to the wonderful staff of Hometown Hospice for guiding us through this difficult time.
Visitation at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, 10:00AM-12 NOON. Funeral Services and Military Honors at 12 noon. Interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin or the MACC Fund.
