Born on February 14, 1927 found Eternal Peace after suffering with Alzheimer's disease On November 27, 2010. She joins her husband Frank "Pinky", her youngest son Joseph and son-in-law Wayne "Buffalo" Smith. Anne is survived by her son Christopher (Jerry) and daughter Rose Anne Smith, four grandchildren, Frank (Liz) Turek, Lisa (Brian) Wright, Laura Smith and David Smith and 6 great grandchildren. Further survived by her sister Angeline Herden, other relatives and friends.
Anne comes from a family of 12 children. She attended St. Elizabeth School and attended Riverside High School. She loved music, the theatre and did a lot traveling through out the U.S. and Canada. She never made it to Italy where her father was born which was a dream of hers. Her hobbies were gardening and arts and crafts which she made for the gift shop at West Allis Memorial Hospital, where she volunteered and her church festivals. She continued the tradition of her mother Rose Sardina by having an altar in her home in the month of March for the feast day of St. Joseph. She was a retiree of General Motors after 30 years. Anne also served as a trustee for UAW Local #1866 and a treasurer for the UAW Local #1866 retiree's. She was a member of Sts Cyril and Methodius 55 and Over group, a member of TOPS- Wisconsin 284 and St. Stephen Christian Women.
