IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna Marie
Restivo
February 15, 1943 – August 10, 2024
Anna Marie Restivo of Greenfield WI, formerly of Franklin WI, passed away comfortably on August 10th, 2024 at the age of 81. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She loved well and was adored by everyone who met her.
Anna was born to Harold (aka Peter) and Florence Piper on 2/15/1943. She was a member of the Pulaski High School class of 1960, after which she attended Evanston Hospital School of Nursing and earned her Nursing Diploma in 1963. She married Robert Restivo on 9/26/1964, who was her best friend and love for the next 43 years. Anna was his skilled sous-chef and the subject of many of his photos. Together they had 2 children - Christine (John Pritzl) and Jonathan (Amanda), and proudly 3 grandchildren - Dominic (Mel) and Allison Pritzl, and Gabie (Josh) Restivo. She welcomed her first great-grandchild, Marigold Pritzl, in January of 2024.
Anna was a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse. She served as Assistant Manager of the Cardiac Unit at St. Luke's Hospital (6LM) and the RN float pool. She later co-founded Diversified Care Incorporated alongside her colleague and dear friend Kiki Brunelli. Anna returned to nursing school at Alverno College, earning her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1991, then ultimately retired in 2011.
Anna was a voracious reader, loved PBS mysteries, and was a devoted volunteer in the children's department at Franklin Public Library. She and her sister Margaret (Maggie) Piper shared many wonderful adventures in the Pacific Northwest. She cherished her family and relished visits and calls from her grandchildren. Anna loved the times spent with her brother- and sister-in-law Dick and Pat Restivo and the wider Restivo family. She delighted in the company of her personal chauffer and fix-it-man John Pritzl.
A memorial celebration in honor of Anna will be held at Prasser Kleczka Funeral Home on Friday October 11th with a gathering from 4:00-6:00PM followed by a short ceremony. In lieu of flowers, Anna would have loved donations in her name to PBS Wisconsin or the Franklin Public Library Foundation.
