Anita Marie Possing
(nee Neu) Born to Eternal Life on Monday, August 17, 2026. Age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Possing. Loving mom of Edward (Emily) Possing, John (Christine) Possing and Joseph (Sara) Possing. Cherished Grandma Nita of Reid and Isaac Possing; Katherine Possing; Joshua, Nolen and Andrew Possing. Adored sister of Ruth (Richard) Engel, Richard (Janet) Neu, the late LeRoy Neu and the late Jerry Neu. Anita is also preceded in death by her parents Eva and Alvin Neu. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.
Anita was born and raised in Racine. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Catherine High School. In 1967 she married the love of her life Thomas. They settled in Bay View and raised their family there. She was a longtime and active member at Immaculate Conception Church where she served on the Parish Council, was a Eucharistic Minister and sang in the choir. Throughout her life Anita enjoyed knitting, sudoku, watching and reading murder mysteries, spending time with her husband bowling in couples league and playing the piano. She worked for 35 years at Power Equipment Co., fondly remembered as 100,000 parts.
Anita will be remembered for her generosity, her love of her grandchildren and the ability to be a peacemaker. She kept a very clean home and was an excellent hostess. People that met Anita grew to love her very quickly, she was loved deeply by those around her and will be forever missed.
Visitation Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 9-11 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1023 East Russell Avenue Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anita's name may be made to the church or the Wisconsin Humane Society.
