(nee Hangen) Wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, found her rest on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the age of 84. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Surek and husband, Loren Plehn; parents, Jakob and Ida Hangen from Norden Germany and a son, Thomas (Kristine) Surek. Beloved Mother of Steven (Marilyn) Surek and Kathleen (Gregory) Stilin. Grandma of Richard (Jill) Surek, Colleen (Matt Peters) Surek, Joseph, David and Jacob Stilin, and Eric (Paulina) Zale. Great-grandma of Alaina, Alexa and Will Surek; Tristan and Linnea Zale. Fond Aunt of Marian (Fred) Peter. Also survived by cousins, other relatives in Germany and her wonderful friends at Village at Manor Park including Hattie, Cheryl, Marion and Byron. Anita was employed at UWM for 25 years.
