Shutta, Allen Raymond CMSgt, USAF (Ret.) Was Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 surrounded by his family and loving friend at the age of 67 years. Loving father of Belinda and Brian Shutta and caring step-father of Heidy Trainor and Tracy Finch. Cherished grandfather of Kassandra, Collin, Connor Borazo, Jordan and Makenzie Shutta, Nicholas and Tiffany Leszczynski, and Ryan Finch. Treasured brother of Nancy Steltner. Further survived by an Aunt, cousins, other family members, friends and neighbors. Al attended Bay View High School (class of '61), Georgia Tech, Milwaukee Area Technical College and various Air Force Schools. Al retired from the United States Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant in '98 after serving his country for 36 years. He served for 28 years as an Air Reserve Technician from the 440th Airlift Wing, General Mitchell Airport, Milwaukee, WI. His military affiliations included the 440th Airlift Wing retirees Group and the 440th Airlift Wing Community Council. He was also a life member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Air Force Association, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and AMVETS. He was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, notably as a member of the Parish Council and served as parish sacristan. Al also served in public office for the city of Greenfield as one of the Fire and Police Commissioners and on the Zoning Board of Appeals. His interests and hobbies included gardening, wood working, caring for his dogs (Buddy I and II), and attending hockey games. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Autism Society of America. Visitation at the Funeral Home Tuesday 4-9 PM. Visitation also WED 11 AM - 12 noon at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
