Zamarripa, Alicia M. "Nena" Passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Age 66 years. Loving daughter of the late Andres and the late Alicia M. (nee Morones) Zamarripa. Sister of Humberto, Andres Jr., Gabriel, the late Sylvia, Patricia, Alejandro, Diana and the late Mario Zamarripa. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Memorial Visitation FRIDAY, May 16, 2014 11:30-1 PM at ASCENSION LUTHERAN CHURCH 1236 S. Layton Blvd, Milwaukee. Memorial Service at 1 PM. Alicia was a daughter, sister, aunt and wonderful mentor. She was also an activist and trailblazer in her community of Milwaukee. She was one of the first Latina women to run for elected office in Wisconsin.
