Found Eternal Life on Friday March 26, 2021 at age 84. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Marshall. Loving mom of Joseph (Lori) Collazo, Robert Collazo and Lisa (Jeffrey) Derskon. Cherished grandma of Meghann, Emilee, Madeline, Andrew, Alyssa, Caitlin, Travis, Justin, and Jared. Dear great-grandma of Elijah, Fiona, Devon, Dakota, Mason, Ryland, Ruby, Carson, Kyler, Max, Chloe, Gavin, Ivy, and Kamryn. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Alice was one of 8 children born in Milwaukee. In her younger years she loved getting out and meeting people and dancing. She worked at Master Lock with her sister, Aurora, while raising her children when they were little.
She was known for being a very funny, loving, and caring person. She made people feel special and that they mattered. After her husband, Ken Marshall, passed away she was fortunate enough to find love and companionship again. For "40" months Ken Mattison (he is referred to as Ken #2) doted on Alice and made her feel very special. She was 84 years young. She loved life and did not want to leave, but God had other plans for her. Her children are thankful that her Twilight years were filled with so much love and happiness.
Her family was very important to her. She always looked forward to the annual Chavez picnics and Christmas parties every year. She loved spoiling her grandkids on every occasion she could. Her favorite artist is Johnny Mathis, and on two occasions her kids were able to take her to see him perform live in concert.
Although she never was able to swim, she would spend her time on the beach enjoying the warm weather, sand, palm trees, and the ocean view. She and her late husband Ken Marshall considered themselves "Snowbirds" because they loved to travel to warm weather, especially Florida, selling items at flee markets and county fairs. She enjoyed when family and friends would visit her booth to spend time walking around the markets and chatting.
Alice was a local star and had her brush with fame in her later years where she appeared in commercials for Griffin Hub Auto Dealership. She enjoyed her time in the spotlight and was always happy to be recognized as "the lady in that commercial" from strangers.
