Thursday, Oct. 22, 2008 at the age of 87. He was born in Burlington, WI on Oct. 9, 1921, son of Francis and Matilda Krogman. Preceded in death by his wife Irma and son Donn Survived by his children John (Joan), James (Julie), Jerome (Tammy), Deborah (Cliff), Carl (Jane), Richard (Chris), and Joanne (Connie). Also survived by a sister Rita Wilms, a brother Richard, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on FRI OCT 31st , 2-3 PM at ST. VERONICA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4001 So. Whitnall Ave. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3 PM. Alfred was a member of St. Veronica's for over 50 years and his family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Living Center (formerly Beverly South Shore) for their special care over the last 4 ½ years.
