Osterndorf, Alan D. Born to eternal life on Thursday, May 17, 2007, age 73 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 50 years of Norma (nee Sauerberg). Loving father of William (Judy), David, Thomas (Beth) Osterndorf and Kristin (Thomas) Raitzer. Proud grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Laura, Luke, Matthias, Josiah and Theodore. Dear son-in-law of Elsie Troller and brother-in-law of John (Margaret) Sauerberg. Also survived by other family and friends. Visitation SUN, May 20, 3-7 PM at BEREA LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4873 No. 107th St., Milwaukee. Visitation also MON, 10:30 -11AM at church followed by service at 11 AM. Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Alan was a former superintendent of schools in Menasha, WI, Columbia Heights, MN and Fond du Lac, WI and an instructor and interim president at Marian College and received his PhD. From UW-Madison in 1966. He also was a U.S. Army veteran. Upon his retirement Alan enjoyed teaching and sharing his love of Broadway musicals. If desired, memorials to the church are appreciated.
