Alan Mark Dounar

November 14, 1958 - January 31, 2024

Alan Mark Dounar, affectionately known as "Al," passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on November 14, 1958, in Cudahy, WI, Al was the loving father of Danielle (Kelsey) Kniess, and adored grandpa of George Kniess. He was the dear brother of Nancy (the late Joseph) Majewski and the late Dennis Dounar. Al was also the cherished companion of Helen Culver. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wenceslaus and Mary Dounar.

Al graduated Cudahy High School and went on to pursue a career in manufacturing. He was employed as a Plater at Electrotek in Oak Creek for over 35 years.

Outside of his work, Al had a passion for various hobbies. He enjoyed spending time on the bowling lanes, finding joy in friendly competition and camaraderie. His love for classic rock resonated in his soul, providing a soundtrack to his life. Golf was another pastime Al truly cherished, finding solace in the green expanses and the challenge of the game.

As an avid sports fan, Al cheered passionately for Marquette University Basketball and the Green Bay Packers. His unwavering support for these teams was a testament to his loyalty and dedication.

Above all, Al will forever be remembered as a kind and funny person who always welcomed others with open arms. He had an extraordinary ability to make people laugh and feel at ease in his presence. Al's accepting nature fostered deep connections with the many individuals fortunate enough to cross his path. He exemplified the values of compassion, understanding, and generosity.

Funeral services for Al will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 4 PM to 7 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 7 PM. A private interment will be held at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

In honor of Al's vibrant personality and zest for life, please join us as we celebrate his memory and reminisce on the joy he brought into our lives. He may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
