Making Funeral Arrangements

When someone you love dies, many decisions must be made. There are needs and wants to be met, concerns to be faced, and preferences to plan for. Making funeral arrangements is never an easy task and we are here to make it as easy as possible. We will tell you about all the options available. The decisions will be yours.

The funeral service or memorial service can be held at one of our well-appointed funeral homes or in the church or cemetery chapel of your choice. Both are specially designed to be appropriate places for conducting visitations and funeral or memorial services.

Our caring staff will take care of all the details. We will:

  • complete the death certificate
  • arrange for the medical certification
  • file the death certificate with the proper local city or county agency.
  • compose and place the newspaper notice
  • and provide any other assistance you might require.

Determining the day and time of the funeral will be made with you and your clergy. We will also help you with other decisions you must make; such as family flowers, selecting pallbearers and arranging a reception or luncheon for those who desire, following the service.

We encourage you to personalize the services by displaying personal mementos, photos, albums, hobbies, and handiwork of the deceased. You may incorporate your favorite music into the visitation or funeral service as well. Our music system will accommodate most music sources or for those who desire live musical selections, an organist is available. At the arrangement conference, we will give you itemized price lists for all merchandise and services available. Once you have made your choices, we will furnish you with a written disclosure. This will show what merchandise and services are included, and the cost of accommodation items, (newspaper death notices, cemetery charges, etc.). We will also assist you in securing any benefits to which you are entitled from an employer, insurance companies, fraternal organizations, or Social Security and Veterans' Benefits.
